Brigadier General (ret) Zija Bahja held a number of posts in the Albanian Armed Forces, as well as Senior Military Advisor of the Albanian Permanent Mission to the International Organisations, OSCE, UN, IAEA and Military Attaché in Vienna, Austria. He has participated in many international conferences on international security.
 
Dr. BASSIOUNY, Abeer, Visiting Assistant Professor of International Relations.
Ph.D. in International Relations, Focus on International Organizations, University of Cairo, Egypt; M.B.A. in International Business, Maastricht Business School, The Netherlands; M.A. and B.A. in Economics and Political Science, University of Cairo, Egypt.
Abeer is a career diplomat at the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In the recent past she served as a Consul and Deputy Chief of Mission of the Egyptian Republic in Tirana. She has been an analyst & programmer in the cabinet information & decision support center. Dr. Abeer has held several posts in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cairo. She has published many articles and has participated in a number of conferences and academic seminars on different aspects of development and international policies.

Dr. Egro works as Researcher in the Mediaeval/ Ottoman History Department, Academy of Sciences, Institute of History, Tirana. At UNYT Dritan lectures Islamic history and civilization.
 
Dr. EHRLICH, Adam, Assistant Professor of History.
Ph.D. in Modern Central and East European History, Indiana University, USA; M.A. in Russian Area Studies, Harvard University, USA; B.A. (with honours) in Soviet and East European Studies, University of Washington, USA.
Dr. Adam Ehrlich is an historian, Fulbright Scholar, academic editor and multilingual translator with extensive professional and freelance experience. A graduate of Harvard University and Indiana University, Dr. Ehrlich has also studied in Germany, Poland and Russia. He has extensive professional editorial experience, having worked for three years as an assistant editor at the prestigious academic journal American Historical Review. In addition to his strong editorial background, he has taught several courses at the university level, from Medieval Russia to 20th Century World. His primary research interests focus on national and ethnic identity development and problems of nationalism. He is currently working on an article on Nazi Germany’s attempts to define German ethnicity during WWII. Dr. Ehrlich was most recently the Director of International Accreditation at Kristal University in Tirana, Albania and a member of that university’s Quality Assurance Committee.
 
Dr. ERCOLANI, Giovanni, Visiting Professor in Security Studies.
Ph.D. in Political Science, University “La Sapienza”, Italy; Ph.D. in Oriental Studies, University “La Sapienza”, Italy; M.A. in Politics & Government, "St. John’s University", USA.
Dr. Ercolani is “Thesis Advisor” at the “Peace Operations Training Institute-POTI” (USA) and POTI Lecturer on “Global Terrorism” and “Peacekeeping and International Conflict Resolution” at Nottingham Trent University and Durham University (UK). He a specialist in International Terrorism, Security Studies, International Relations, Human Security, Conflicts, Peacekeeping and International Conflict Resolution, the Geopolitics of Energy, and Turkey, the Black Sea and the Caucasus. Dr. Ercolani is member of “Chatham House” and at UNYT he lectures on “International Security”.

Tomoyuki (Tom) is a member of the World Association of International Studies at Stanford, the United States. Prior to join UNYT, he has taught history of international relations at University of Massachusetts in Boston. His security-related articles appear in various conferences and publications from Russia to Azerbaijan.
 
Dr. HOLLAND, Trygve Ben, Professor of European Law.
Ph.D. in European Law, Europa-Institut Saarbrücken, Germany; LLM in European Law and Economics, Europa-Institut Saarbrücken, Germany; HWP in Law and Economics, Hamburg University, Germany.
Dr. Trygbe Ben Holland is a specialist in European Law and Economics. His teaching experience includes assignments at the European University in Cologne, Germany, at the University of Public Administration, Germany, at Hanzehogenschool Gronigen, the Netherlands, as well as the University of Tambov, Russia. He is author of a number of Law commentaries and also held the European Commision’s POROS Chair in European Law at ILC Pune, India.
 
Dr. HYSO, Ada, Assistant Professor of Political Science and Int’l Relations.
Ph.D in Political Science, University of Wisconsin, USA; M.A. in Political Science, University of Wisconsin, USA; B.A. in Albanian Language and Literature, University of Tirana, Albania.
Dr. Ada Hyso is a political scientist and academic editor. Ada is in her third year of serving as an editor of the Albanian Journal of Politics. She is currently working on an article on military intervention in ethnic conflicts, and a book chapter on the effects of the European Union on human rights in Albania. Her research interests focus on military interventions in civil and ethnic conflicts, international conflict, terrorism, transnational organized crime, democratization and electoral systems. She has served as the Director of Youth Department at the Ministry of Culture Youth and Sports in Albania, Anti-Trafficking Coordinator at Save the Children, and Education/Learning Advisor at Plan International.

Dr. Miluka’s fields of concentration are in Development Economics and Comparative Systems. Dr. Miluka’s research includes issues on migration, education, gender, inequality, labor market, and agriculture. She has also been a Marie Currie Fellow conducting research on migration at the University of Rome 2, Tor Vergata, Italy. Dr. Miluka has published articles in journals such as Agricultural Economics and Journal of Developmental Studies. She has worked as a consultant on issues of migration, poverty, and gender for organizations such as the World Bank, International Organization of Migration, and Millennium Challenge Corporation. She has taught graduate level courses in “Project Evaluation” and “STATA for Economists”.

Michael Stopford is currently NATO’s Deputy Assistant Secretary General in Strategic Communication Services after a long and successful career in Strategic Communications and Public Affairs in the private sector, where, among others, he worked as Group Director of Global Corporate Reputation of the Coca-Cola Company, Atlanta Georgia. With a brief career in the U.K. Diplomatic Service, M. Stopford has taught as an Adjunct Professor at the School of Foreign Service, Georgetown University, at the School of Advanced International Studies of John Hopkins University and at the School of International Service at the American University.
