Vault Online Library Service
There are many career tools available online. We have added the Vault Online Career Library to our Career Services Office resources at the University of New York, Tirana.
Vault is the world’s leading source of career information. It will make your efforts at researching employers, industries, and career subjects infinitely easier and more efficient. This new online resource contains:

Career Coaching
The Career Coach is available for one-on-one appointments to support students and alumni in exploring career, education and life related topics and developing specific action plans for your future.
Appointments can be made in person or by phone 042 2273056 ext 124. The coach is available Tuesdays, 10.00-13.00 and Wednesdays between 12:00 am and 16.00 for coaching sessions.
Kirsten-Career Coach
Kirsten is specialized in Career coaching. She has joined us from her most recent position as the Career Services Manager at TiasNimbas Business School in the Netherlands, where she had been responsible for setting up the Career Office and all the activities that come with it. Kirsten worked extensively with students on exploring and defining international career opportunities.
She completed her bachelor in European Studies at The Hague University in the Netherlands and Universidad Complutense de Madrid in Spain. In addition Kirsten is a CoachU Core Essentials Graduate, and is further developing her coaching skills in the CoachU Advanced Coaching Program, while working towards coaching certification with the International Coaching Federation (ICF).
In her free time, Kirsten enjoys swimming (and teaching children to swim), dancing, traveling, reading, photography, etc.

Career Office Activities
The Forum
FORUM is an initiative of the Career, Students Affairs and Alumni office, with the aim to engage you in active learning, offering you experiences in many areas of expertise and encouraging you to participate in lively debates. Leaders are invited to the FORUM to deliver speeches and communicate with you directly. Movies are shown and discussed among students, professors from different area of study delivered lectures for all students.
The activities in the FORUM are an integral part of your education experience allowing you to enhance your personal, academic and professional development. The Forum is solely for you, the magnitude of gains from it relates to how much you participate with your mind and presence. The University likes to, through Forum, give you invaluable input to ENRICH YOUR LIFE and MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

The UNYT Job Fair
The aim of the Job Fair is to serve as the main networking and job fair of UNYT, connecting companies and institutions with UNYT’s highly skilled and motivated graduate students seeking careers in public and private sectors. The Job Fair will include information session for students, and a Career Fair providing the opportunity of informational interviews with public and private sectors representatives. Full schedule and details are below:

Trainings & Workshops
The Career Office offers trainings and workshops to help UNYT students and alumni build and practice the skills they need to effectively manage their careers – now and in the future. Throughout the school year, we offer a full calendar of sessions focused on career visioning, marketing the UNYT degrees, resumes, cover letters, networking, salary negotiation and more.

Employer Briefings and On-Campus Recruiting
Many employers of UNYT students and graduates participate in our on-campus recruitment program in order to meet UNYT students in person. The Career Office works directly with these employers to schedule briefing sessions for them to provide detailed information about their organizations and their employment opportunities, and to post those employment opportunities.

Internships
Many UNYT students earn valuable experience, develop new skills, and learn about fields by pursuing meaningful internships between their third and fourth years of study. These internships provide students an opportunity to develop their skills and to forge relationships with employers in different fields
UNYT students have held internships on different industries. Students bring to the internships their education and leave having had a rewarding experience.
As students begin planning their internship, the Career Office offers Internship Information on what students have done in past semesters, list UNYT’s opportunities, internship networking events. Students can browse the job bank.

UNYT Alumni Community
The UNYT’s alumni community is one of your most valuable resources. The network is 300 strong and growing. It represents more than ten countries and every sector. Most importantly, it connects you back to the School.
The Career office is trying to:
• Connect its diverse alumni and students through communications (regular e-mailing), letters/cards, activities (one per year), special programs and services.
• Service provided to alumni and assistance in the recruitment.
Alumni Reunion - Our New Tradition
On May 26, 2008 University of New York, Tirana invited the undergraduate and graduate Classes of 2006, 2007, and the recent 2008 graduates, back to University’s days to celebrate a Class Reunion. This was the FIRST experience organized by a private University since its creation. University class reunion is always a special celebration! It is time to renew old friendships and to remember the “Good Old Days!”
The guest speakers of this event were Mrs. Gülden Türköz-Cosslett, UNDP Resident Representative and UN Resident Coordinator & Bret Schundler, professor of public policy at The King’s College, located at the Empire State Building in New York City and three times re-elected Mayor of Jersey City, New Jersey.
62 Former students attended this event. The data shows that students are working in different companies and institutions all over the country as: BKT, BelleAir, Alpha Bank, AlbaniaOnline, NCSED (NGO), Univers Reklama, Storm Events, Ministry of Intergration, Bechtel-Enka Joint Venture, Military University “Skenderbeg”, Procredit Bank, Institute for Contemporary Studies, Raiffeisen Bank, General Office of Customs, UNDP, Miralb Shpk., Sigma, World Vision Albania, Elbasan ADPA, AGNA Group, “Sigal Life”, Flesh Service Alb Stone/Durres, Eni shpk, Java Publicity, Oil Business, Ferlut Group.
