Classes taught by her include Co llege Algebra, Statistics for Business and Economics, Psychological Statistics, Calculus, Probability and Statistics, Discrete Mathematics, and College Algebra . Although it is a personal challenge to make math lectures palatable to students, some students take to the subject very easily, and it is these select few whom Nertila tries to cultivate by guiding them on their first steps to scientific research.
Her research interests are diverse and include Ergodic Theory , Functional Analysis, and Topology with a focus on Tiling Theory. She has published numerous scientific articles in several well-known scholastic mathematical journals such as Archiv der Mathematik, Discrete Mathematics and Theoretical Computer Science, Ergodic Theory and Dynamical Systems, Indagationes Mathematicae, Osaka Journal of Mathematics, and Periodica Mathematica Hungarica.
Nertila 's prior work experience includes more than nine years as an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics at Tirana University , Faculty of Science. After receiving her PhD at Osaka City University in Japan, she engaged in postdoctoral JSPS studies at both the University of Niigata and Osaka City University . During this time she worked as an Assistant Professor for both schools, where she taught classes such as General Topology and Calculus, among others.
