Profile
Iris is faculty in the Department of Computer Science and Information Systems. Classes taught by her include Computer Applications, Operating Systems, Assembly Language Programming, Data Structures, Data Communication and Networking. Additionally, she is head of the Information Technology (IT) Office at UNYT. Her research interests are diverse and include Business Data Communication and Networking, Mobile Data Applications, and Information Systems Development and Implementation, with focus on how factors such as Organizational Behavior, Individual and Team Commitment in IS projects impact IS Development and Implementation both positively and negatively.
Iris's prior work experience includes more than seven years in the financial sector, specifically, at the National Commercial Bank, and First Investment Bank, two second-tire banks operating in Tirana, Albania. Additionally, she has worked on projects for several organizations, such as Catholic Relief Services (CRS), Irish Credit Union (ICU), and European Organization for Security and Collaboration (OSCE), Tirana, Albania
Iris graduated in Management of Information Systems at Concordia University, Montreal, Canada. During this time, she also worked as a Teacher's Assistant for the Information Systems and Decision Science Department. Candidate for a master of science in IT Security, she also aspires to complete a PhD in the field.
